The Parish is a simple faith community that is re imagining what it would be like to live our lives in response to what we have discovered about God. In other words, if we believe God loves us, how does that change the way we live? If we believe that God’s invitation is for us to join him in the work he is already doing, how does that change the way we look at this beautiful world? As we look at the teachings of Jesus, we see some recurring themes. This is how we would like to be known.

Life is complicated, faith doesn't need to be. We value uncluttered lives and uncluttered faith that allows us to live freely and generously.
Our desire is to find all the places God is at work bringing hope, love and restoration and our desire is to join him.
We believe something amazing happens in community. We believe the world needs more genuine friendship and care, and we are trying to do something about that.
Is it possible that the world could be a better place because we gather as a church to be challenged and inspired that Love is what God looks like? We think so.
We believe that central to the message of Jesus is that we need to be more than peace keepers, but peace creators.

The Parish began with a vision to
re imagine what a faith community could look like. We believe that the Message of Jesus is good news. We gather on Sunday mornings to be reminded of that. We are very diverse, but share a common belief that God’s love for us desires to produce love in us. The Parishioners are everyone and anyone that desires to be all God made them to be. At the Parish, we believe that all of us are telling God’s story of redemption through our lives. We gather every week because sometimes we need to be reminded of that. We are influenced by the Mennonite tradition and find so much relevance in it's emphasis on peace and simplicity in our busy world.

And what if you weren’t the only one If there were others who shared this conviction - that God’s love for us desires to produce love in us and not just in us....but through us. Imagine all the great things we could do fuelled by the conviction that this is part of why we exist.
Belief is not just about knowing God, but joining God, It’s not just about trusting that God is at work in our world but believing that we can be at work in His, partnering with what he is already up to.
Our motivation to meet is outmatched by our motivation to matter…making a difference in our communities, our world.
A fresh expression of serving, loving, engaging. Part of a growing faith community, that is following Jesus wherever he goes, sharing his message of hope and love and extending his peace in our world.
